Enramycin (also known as enduracidin) is a polypeptide antibiotic growth promoter-AGP produced after fermentation of Streptomyces fungicides. Enramycin is widely used as a feed additive for chickens to prevent necrotic enteritis caused by Gram-Positive gut pathogens, particularly Clostridium perfringens.
